Flowers of reflection

This piece made me think about the importance of layers. Every time I have an idea, I'm never sure I'll be able to translate it onto the canvas. I start, and it's nothing as I imagined, but I keep going, adding layers, fixing the "mistakes" until I see light at the end of the tunnel, and what's in my heart comes alive. 

Isn't life like that, too? So many layers... We have to keep going, respecting what's in our past, adding to our story, following what's in our hearts, until the day the desire, dream, and prayer we have inside come to life.
